After School Program is one of the key activities of the new strategy under Pillar 1: Proactive Community Intervention which aims to provide essential support and opportunities for children outside of regular school hours and which will also include a holiday program. The program targets children aged 10 to 14, and provides a balance between developmental readiness, academic engagement, and accessibility. The After School Program is also designed to empower at-risk children, their caregivers, and families by enhancing access to quality support services and building resilience and life skills through counselling.
The program recognizes the importance of providing a safe and nurturing environment for children during the critical after-school hours and school holiday, where they can engage in educational, recreational, and skill-building activities. The program was launched on the 7th September 2024 catering for 45 Grade 4 Students.
