Victoria joined the team in 2013 and in her first six months was instrumental in preparing Nanga Organisation for the opening of Olturoto Children’s Village. Victoria is now the General Manager of Nanga Organization, coordinating all aspects of Olturoto Children’s Village and responsible for reporting and direct liaison with the governance bodies of Nanga Organisation in Kenya and Kickstart Kids International in both Australia and the UK.
Nancy joined Kickstart Kids International in 2018 as the Project Coordinator, overseeing program activities and providing on-the-ground supervision. She holds certifications in Community-Based Work with Children and Youth from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and psychosocial support counseling from REPSSI.
With over 15 years of experience in community development, Nancy has built expertise in trauma management, child protection, peer education, design thinking, parenting skills, community mobilization, theater, and facilitation. Before joining Kickstart, she served as a Community Liaison and Youth Coordinator at Hope Worldwide Kenya and spent seven years as a Child Advocate at Rafiki wa Maendeleo Trust
Nancy joined Kickstart in 2018 as the Fundraising Coordinator, spearheading fundraising activities to support Olturoto Children’s Village. Currently, she serves as Kickstart’s Administration and Finance Officer. Her responsibilities include overseeing administrative duties, bookkeeping, fundraising efforts, and monitoring and evaluating project progress to ensure alignment with Kickstart’s goals.
Before joining Kickstart, Nancy worked at KPMG East Africa as a Finance Analyst in the Deal Advisory Unit. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and a certificate in Data Analysis.
Dorcas is a child therapist consultant working with orphaned and vulnerable children at Olturoto Children’s Village since 2016, She is a fully accredited psychotherapist registered under Kenya counseling and psychological association. Dorcas holds a Bachelor of psychology and a masters in child development with exceptional experience in child protection and counseling programs for over 7 years.
Fred joined the team in 2018, initially serving at Olturoto Children’s Village as a Farmhand and Caregiver. Currently, he serves as the Project Assistant for Kickstart Kids International. His role involves maintaining and organizing Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) data, ensuring efficient use of project resources while maintaining accurate records. He collaborates with the project team throughout the project lifecycle and manages administrative tasks, including research and logistical support.
Boni is a graduate care leaver supported by Olturoto Children’s Village and currently serves as the Project and Fundraising Assistant. In this role, he supports project implementation, grant applications, and fundraising initiatives, while also updating OCV website and socials. In addition to his role at OCV, Boni serves as the Chairperson of the Kenya Society of Care Leavers (KESCA), where he champions for the rights and empowerment of care-experienced individuals like himself across the country.
Ronald is the Security Guard and Caretaker for Kickstart Kids International. His role involves ensuring the safety and security of the Olturoto Children’s Village site while also overseeing its day-to-day maintenance needs. Ronald’s dedication ensures a safe and welcoming environment for the community.
Eunice is a Care Leaver supported by Kickstart and now serves as a Cook and Cleaner for the After-School Program. Her role involves preparing meals for the children attending the program and maintaining cleanliness at the facility. Eunice holds a certificate in Catering and Hospitality, reflecting her passion and skill in providing nutritious and enjoyable meals.
